Sounds like the only difference between Level 1 and 2 is the trucks, which you are upgrading from some no-name trucks which may be nice or could be crap, to some Randal II's, which are nice, although I have begun a personal boycott of them.

I give Randal's crap, but I have 2 sets of them. Have used them from slalom to downhill and everything between. With good bushings you can do most stuff, but the reason I don't like them is that the kingpins are often misdrilled and then the trucks pull and crap.

If you just want it to roll, I guess you could save some bucks. If you want it to be fun when you turn, put some bucks into it.

The bearings are more expensive in the Level 2, but don't be too fooled by brand names. If you get some ABEC 7 sealed bearings from Pleasure tool, they're the nicest things you'll ever need, and they're only 10 bucks for a set, while a nice set of reds will run you close to 60, and I don't think they're as good.
