In my Sony PSP I have 1gb of what looks like the same. Are they interchangeable? Will they both take as big a memory stick as I can put in them?
I see you can get up to 8gb cards of the same type but still a bit pricy at £120, but the 4gb versions are only £25ish. Sandisk looks slightly cheaper but can I use it or does it have to be Sony?
I'm trying to be able to carry and listen to my entire mp3 collection wherever possible - house, on foot , in car. I think I'll need about 20gb storage.
20gb of decent mp3 player costs about £200 so I can save £75 with just getting memory sticks for the devices I already have. I need to connect to the car stereo somehow. I already have a fm transmitter for my 1gb rubbish cheap mp3 player but thats a bit fiddley to use whilst driving and hard to see the dislpay to search for tracks and stuff.
I was thinking the Sony psp would be easier to use cos the display is loads bigger, but I've never even used it for music at all so far. So can you get reasonably priced car stereos that have enough memory storage (15-20gb) with also a memory stick slot? Or would it be easier to get a car stereo that reads dvds containing mp3s. 1 dvd can hold 8.5gb data and cost £1.80 each, but they are to all intents and purposes read only, with no clever file accessing system and I don't have a dvd burner yet.
