Surfin about 3 weeks ago, I got a severe pain in my ribs, just left of my stomach. Really tried to ignore it, "stupid body, get with the program, look at these waves we both want this, when will we get surf next!", body didn't like that, and pain got worse so I couldn't surf. I couldn't drive back, and turning around caused me to wince in pain for days, thought I may have cracked a rib. Doc said was fine, either neuralgia (nerve pain) a muscle strain, or something else idiomatic (no real cause. Still feels bruised and I'm not sure what caused it. I know I was lazy and didn't warm up, but...Goin surfin next week, body get with the program!
