Whenever you want to surf big waves, that's when you need a gun or semi gun.

Posted by ehood87

hey im new to surfing im 5'10'' about 200 lbs i am looking at one of two boards either the rusty desert island 7'6" shown here or the RUSTY PIRAHNA 6'10"
i need as much input as i can get because im getting mixed feelings on what type of board i should get i know i want a red, orange, yellow, or black board that would look cool and be somthing i can learn on and not get bored with please give me as much input as possible???

Did you mean new to surfing-waves? I'm confused. Anyways yea I dont think you NEED a gun for pipeline, I've seen vids and most of them dont have guns.

Ummm.. if you're asking what kind of board you need to surf Pipe, then you probably shouldn't be surfing Pipe, dontcha think?

Plus, you're from my neck of the woods, eh? Why not try something to build up to Pipe instead of just going out and killing yourself?
