Huh. I'm in the coast guard and we don't do that with surfers. do you mean the life guards.

The lifeguard yells at everyone thats not in the protected zone, Just disregard what they say because you are still safe like 2 miles down from the lifeguard station. Ive made rescues 2 miles down before and it happends quite often, If your introble and we know about it, were not just going to let you drown.
