Is North Walse Normally Flat this time of year?

Postby Johno » Thu Apr 12, 2007 11:00 am

Hi all,

Was just woundering if north walse is normally flat as a pancake this time of year?

Is it going to pick up before the summer flat spell?

I'v had some great sessions there this winter and its the only place i have surfed. I'm starting to think i should be heading across to the east coast or down to nequey / north devon but its quite a lot further

Any one any advise?

Well don't head to the East Coast this weekend.

I'm no expert on N Wales but it seems the lows are tracking too far north to get a decent swell up there. But saying that there could be a small wave this coming wkend.

PW is the person to ask about the Lleyn.

Its reaching the time of year that swells reaching the NW coasts start to dwindle... there will be more for sure but come end of may/june it'll only be windswells and any of the larger swells that will make it up the channel. But hey its the same all over the UK (apart from N.Scottland, Western/northan Ireland and of course what little reaches the Kernow Coasts.
