I managed to get endless summer 2 in a "bargin bin" at the local supermarket  for only £2.99. It WAS a bargin considering everywhere else it's like £19.99 or something ridiculous! You should definately watch them though.

The original is absolutely fleshing fantastic!!!

The Hollywood version sucks - because it commercialised girls surfing and precipitated "chicks surf fashion" and all the unwholesome things associated with it.

North Shore!!

With the guy that no-one remembers from Teenwolf!

Maximum Cheese! - Check out this plot line!

- Guy from Arizona learns to surf in wave tank
- Saves all his money and goes to the N. Shore
- Upsets the locals etc - really wants to surf Pipe, but gets worked when he tries. falls in love with local girl (who bizarrely presented 'America's Greatest Stunts')
- Mysteriously gets befriended by the strange and reclusive shaper 'Chandler'
- Shaper teaches him to surf, by watching waves etc
- Guy wants to ride the surfboard made for surfing hero (played by Laird Hamilton)
- Shaper will only let him ride that one when he has mastered all the other boards (from 10ft Koa boards with no fin to small thrusters) - Cue ludicrous montage with rubbish music)
- Guy becomes a 'Soul Surfer' and starts to earn respect.
- Guy enters 'Pipe Classic'. "But surfing's not about competition man"
- Guy gets to final against Surfing hero, who cheats to win comp.
- Guy gets respect, girl etc.

Awesome!!

Full of big names though: Derek Ho, Mark Foo, Laird Hamilton, Occy, Jerry Lopez.

Love it!!

You Batman, are a man of good taste.
Anyone who does not think this film rocks is a Philistine

Although "A Far Shore" by Greg Schell and 'Lines from a Poem' by Nate are also good - but dont have the touch of class that "Surf Nazis Must Die" brings to the silver screen

I think we are all overlooking 2 of the most influential, groundbreaking and radical surf movies of all time:

sinistapenguin rocks.

North Shore. What a classic. Incredibly cheesy, but has a real surfing undertone...

...unlike product placement/hollywood style surf movie Blue Crush. Oooh, I'll just put on my Dakine leash, oooh, I'll just talk to the Billabong sponsor, oooh, I'll just skate over this Volcom ramp, oooh, I'll just get beaten up by the Wolk Pak, oooh, I'll just get the boys to block for me. Get real.

North shore used to be may favourite movie as a grom, can still quote it from start to finish.

"Burkhart, get your own damn wave"

If you can get it on DVD it's worth it just to see the bonus features with Laird, Lopez etc talking about how it's become such a cult movie for 30 something surfers!

Erm, hi there everyone... Well, erm, my name's Adrenaline Fueled... I'm 21... and erm... I... I... I like Blue Crush  I'm so ashamed! I wanted to hate it, I really did! And it is actually not that good, I can see that. And It's full of product placement, it is! But, despite all the reasons I should hate it, I can't help it. I like Blue Crush. May God have mercy on my soul...

if you guys haven't seen sipping jet streams.. you NEED to.

its more than just a surf video.. its them going to all these places across the world.

the surfers in it are Kelly Slater, Andy Irons, Dane Reynolds, Bruce Irons, Rizal Tangjung, Benji Weatherly, Shane Dorian and many, many more.

fricken awesome.. it takes you all around the world to secret and not so secret surf spots.. its just a beautiful video.. kinda reminds me of endless summer but with better producing.

oh and another favourite of mine is campaign 2, just because its so damn funny.. and slaters session is amazing in that one, not to mention cj hobgood.. i love that guy's style so much..
