Two Poucans on a boat....

Postby libby » Sun Apr 08, 2007 6:32 pm

So me and Paul finally got around to meeting up this weekend, here are a couple of pics. He went for a surf at Bamburgh (I couldnt -all my kit is in Norwich) then we had fish and chips and went over to the Farne Islands to go Puffin Pilfering and Seal Snatching. We saw a retarded Poucan (aka Puffins), learnt that seals can REALLY sneeze and shags (the bird cheezee) can projectile poo. Much fun was had and sunburn acquired by all!!

Yeah the board is great when I get on it :D

It's soooo much faster! Great to paddle, did my first duck diving which will definately take some more practice  All in all it's fantastic!

There were some really nice sets and the weather was perfect, couldn't of had a better weekend for getting my board. All weekend it stuck to a solid3 - 5 ft depending on were you went, although sunday was an arse when the winds shifted to cross shore, but it was all good in the end.

I forgot to put the pic of the sneazing seal, I didn't get the action shot but it does have satisfying grin, like after a good sneaze.

And a pic of another cute seal, basking on the rocks

looks like you had a great time! It's so beautiful around there isn't it. I love the beach at bamburgh (although I seem to remember it was always cold!!!). We should have a SW meet up there sometime!
