Paul's New Board - The other other Poll

Postby pault » Tue Apr 03, 2007 9:50 am

So my new Shiney Harmegeddon board is ready and hopefully I'll be surfing it over the long weekend.

I'm currently on a Bic 7'9" Natural Surf, my new board is 7'1 and has less volume. I'e been surfing for about 9 months now, can (on a good day) get up in my BIC pretty much 8/10 times, and been able to get up on a few green waves, although not for long at all, and the fact that Im 6'2 (ish) and 80kg.

Surf is looking like it will be between 1 to 2ft this weekend.

So the question is... will I be able to surf it...?

You'll absolutely fly

First good wave on a custom after a mini-mal pop-out is always a bit of an eye-opener... but in a good way :D 8)

Have fun

(Let's hope the swell picks up. Looking almost flat at the moment)

Ye DBBB is right, If you have been learning on a pop out board for a few good months and then go on a custom board, the difference is amazing! Everything about a custom board is so much better, its actually a lot easier for paddling/catching waves/surfing on. Im sure you will get on great with it!

Paul!! Sweet board! I saw some "secret" pictures of it and it looks fantastic. Oooooh, I am jealous. It's too bad you haven't seen it yet because it is amazing. I mean truely special. It's probably a good thing that you haven't seen it yet as you would probably quit work just to hang out with it. Then Kitey would be responsible for you being an out of work surf bum. The graphics are super cool. Did I mention that I have seen your board all finished already? Did I huh huh did i huh huh did i huh did i huh....
