re-shaping my mini-mal

Postby O_Danny_Boy » Tue Apr 03, 2007 4:16 am

seeing as i dont really really use my mal anymore, i was thinking of doing some diy on its tail. it has a squashed tail and i was wondering if i hack-sawed off the ass and epoxy-ied it up to turn it into a flat tailed mal would i notice any improvement in performance??

i know it sounds a bit stoooopid but isnt it easier to catch small waves on a bad day on a flat tail rather than a squash tail?

if i have embarrassed myself i do apologize in advance

Personally i wouldn't alter a board in that way. But on the other hand if you don't use it and have no intention of selling it then go for it. What have you got to lose, let us know how it goes.

Well it'd be very Swaylocks to cut it down.

But I would personally save the board and get (or make) a fresh blank...

Just feel free to ignore my 2c :D

I have a feeling you'd end up with a pretty odd shape. I think you would be better selling or trading for aother used board.

What board is it you want to hack up?
