Alternaitve to duck diving

When using larger boards that are too boiant to duckdive on bigger waves.. Are there any other options than gettin off ur board and ducking.. Cheers

tutle role which is where u spin you board round so u are laying under it as u go throw but hold on tight

serch the site, there was a big discussion about the turtle roll at one point, it will tell you how to do it there

yes there is. u can turtle dive.
turtle diving is where u roll ur board so the fins are sticking up, u r underneath the board as the wave goes over u. but hold on tight! my board has gotten away from me many times... but i think i am getting the hang of it now!- u have to keep ur body as close to the board as u can as the wave goes over, when it has gone, u push the board back over and pull urself back up onto it.
the anoying thing is though sometimes when a set comes in, u roll under one, and by the time u get back up and start paddling the next wave comes!

it is usually effective though! cheers 8)
