Varies from dog to dog.

I know I'm talking about cats, but my parents cats, one of them makes a rusty, croaking 'rrrraaaa!' noise and the other a high pitched 'MOW!'

(One burmese and one siamese)

My old dogs got a really gruff 'woof', but my little'un (by little I mean 4 and a half year old Border Collie) only manages a crappy 'ruff' as and when the mood takes her.

I can't believe I spent a whole 5mins debating this with someone  I guess it comes down to variations in the dog or summat! Thanks for your opinions, at least neither of us are totally wrong...

only 5 mins? it's obvious you're not a student anymore, or that conversation would have lasted a whole evening! Along the lines of "Would you rather have £10,000,000 or your own pet tiger? Discuss!"

hmmm ...now this is a tuffy ! ... now the closest i can get to this in human terms is ... when you throw up it begins with a similar sound ,yeh ... so i'll go with a Rooooof not a woof

oh ... and most deffo take the 10,000,000 over owning my own tiger .. i could afford to hunt them with that much cash

" yeh alright , alright it was a joke ..i would never hunt Tiger .... unless they were Siberian cause then the fur would match my Ivory collection
