sad day today

Postby Ol' DZ » Thu Mar 15, 2007 3:53 am

Well, it's been coming for quite some time now, but the day finally came that I sold my nifty, fast, loud, totally unreliable gaz guzzling Camaro. On the one hand, I was glad to see it go b/c now I can use the money to put down on a new reliable fuel-efficient car....but on the other hand I'm sort of bummed. A few years ago that car was all I ever wanted, I scrimped and saved for a while to get it and then hop it up. Now that it's gone, I know I'll miss it in spite of how frustrated I used to get when I'd have to drop everything and wrench on it because something broke or needed adjusting, etc. When it was running well I used to love cruising around and listening to the radio.

 My mate just got his first motorbike, and I jokingly said that as soon as they make surfboard racks for bikes I'll be getting one...

Bike rack...Bah, you pansies...here in Phuket we just throw them under your arm and ride!

(clutch is a bit of a problem though.. )
PS. Carrying a 9ft longboard on an automatic bike (110cc) is not a good idea going up a steep hill! My ass stil hurts!

Brother I feel your pain :( . I too recently lost a loved one, two in fact. They had to make way for a newer, more sensible car.

Sold the Toyota for £450, and the BMW for £1450. Sorry I should have said 'gave' them away. I lost them both on the same day :( .

" cheeze walks up front with the lads... in a solemn funeral march to mark the loss of favourite toyz " :(

" dearly beloved ... we are gathered here today to celebrate the passing of our loved onez. Let us not be sad for our losses, but instead try to find solice in the fact that these loved onez have gone to a far better place.

Where once we stood and ignored the fact that the discs needed replacing or the cam belt tightened ... let us take comfort that these things may now have happened and our loved onez are now happy and content with their new spiritual and mechanical life.

Our time together may have been short, but the memories they have left us will live on for much longer than we can at this time contemplate without tears ...

" please all stand for our final hymn which is a medley of theme tunes from Knight Rider, Street Hawk and of course Dukes of Hazzard ...i thankyou ....

( the congregation exit the Church of toyz to the sound of .. " of course Micheal " ..and ... duna der der duna duna der der der der )

I am sooo disapointed in surfing-waves forum members that they passed this up that I can't even think of a reply to it myself!

THIS IS truly a sad day.
