wax on my epoxy board won't stick

Postby man » Tue Mar 13, 2007 10:19 pm

there is an area on my board, say about 4" X 6", that wax won't stick to. i laid down a coat of hard and followed it up with some softer stuff...that didn't work. i tried just the cold water wax by itself...didn't work either. i cleaned the area where the wax wasn't sticking and then tried it all again...it just won't stick. it's happening in the area where i place my hands when i'm about to stand up, so maybe that has something to do with it. although, it's a brand new board so i doubt oil from my hands could build up that fast. any advice? thanks a lot

Try using a base wax first. I know I have some sticky bumps wax that is ment for a basecoat.
