F this S....I am going to mexico

Postby ^*^BATMAN^*^ » Fri Mar 02, 2007 2:50 pm

Well lastnight we got another blast of snow for a few hours, then rain, then freezing rain, then snow, now it is warm and melting....

So i decided lastnight that I am going with my buddy to mexico on either the 30th or 31sth of march....just going to wait until we are a week or two out to get a cheaper price...

Then once I get back I can start planning to get over to your side of the pond for the big meet in june/july. My buddy is from wales, and wants to get back to visit friends, i thought well why not do both?

good call on Mexico, i went there last winter myself and it was one of the best trips i've been on. Where are you guys planning on going? I stayed in Buscerias which is just north of Puerto Vallarta. Only about 20 minute drive to Sayulita.

About 99% sure that it will be the Palladium Vallarta...It has a break about 100ft to the left of the hotel beach....so it rocks for that. About 15 mins from Sayulita. I do want to get out and see that this time. I was in the same place in January, but didnt get to Sayulita. When you were there, did you take your own boards? if so could you get them on the bus to take them with you places?

I did bring my boards but I actually had a rental car for the week I was there...it was a huge help. Not sure on the bus situation although I remembered the buses were usually packed whenever I saw one, dont know how much luggage would be best to bring.

Definitly hit up Sayulita, especially if you can get there early. It tends to get crowded. If that doesn't work one day, check out Punta Mita, they have guys there at the local surf shop that will take you all around the area. some really clean, empty spots around there.
