Ichy surfing Feet

Does any one sufer from this? went surfing at the weekend wore wety boots all day sat & sun and now my feet are well ichy.

Any one know how to stop this happening, av just had to go asda on my dinner to get some foot powder, its so uncomfortable

never had it but I would wash and dry my boots and feet very thoroughly and get some atheletes foot spray/powder and treat it. if it doesnt ease within a few days go to the chemist/doc

ITs more likly to be that your feet have been saturated in the sea water for a longer than usual time... as a result the skin has softend. Then dried out (as its salt water) and the skin is toughening up/ready to peel.


I get a similar effect on myhands from work...being saturated in 20-30% brine (sea water is only 2-3%) I have to moisturise every day or they get really flaky and dry. Not cool. (so glad I finish there soon.

Definatly foot rot. Best cure is stand in a bucket of day old urine for an hour. Let us know how it goes..

ankle much better thanks (think I delayed healing by trying to surf on it :P ) now off crutches... it's my bad shoulder that's really stopping me from surfing. - I just can't paddle. Still waiting for the surgeon to decide what to do with it :roll: it's one thing after another!
