I actually was thinking about it. I know I havnt been on here that long, but I could alwasy go for a vacation. If the time is right, I might be able to catch a service airflight to London(free flight for me). So atleast one way is free...then just a matter of renting a car and gettin to where I need to be.

hey, I can get a return flight to Orlando for £115....? Orlando is near California isn't it? Shouldn't you be able to get it just as cheap from your end?

(Sorry if Orlando is well out the way, my American geography is bad! :D )

@Batman, if you're flying into heathrow (I might even stretch to Gatwick) I could pick you up on the way to the summer meet.

Hi!

I'm from the u.k but my cousin lives in Anaheim. She said the beaches near her, I think Newport get closed a lot because of polution? She surfs at Huntingdon too.

I've surfed in S.C, Myrtle Beach and Folley which were nice and warm compared to uk water! I like the houses built on the sand on stilts.

The problem is(nothing against euporeans), is that they are used to smaller countries. Like you can drive accross France in like 8 hours. It takes like 7 days to drive accross the country. It is just the fact that everything is small, again, no offense.

Advice on Summer surfing in Cali?!

Postby DeenaB » Wed Feb 28, 2007 11:47 pm

Hi!
I'm new to this forum, but I found it on my search for information on surfing in California this summer. I spent last year in Bali and found that surfing without a wetsuit is possibly the best thing ever, so I'm reluctant to spend a summer with one on.. but from what I can tell, most of Cali needs a wetsuit.. :( Can anyone refute me on this ?! (please do!)

Also, I was just wondering where you knowledgeable folks might reccommend as a good base for finding a job AND getting to surf? I'm a student, and I'm hoping to find somewhere lively (that isn't too stringent on U21s) .... sorry for all the questions, but if any of you feel like replying I'd really really appreciate it!!
