Early in the morning, still windblown (kiter being dumb, and let his kite drop on 3 Surfers  ) .......

I don't know why but that image looks fake to me...seagul looks like it has been cut and pasted onto that picture and whats with the dude standing up on that whitewater without a board? :P

Why the fleshin' flesh would you fleshin' photoshop a fleshin' seagull into a picture?

I assume its something to do with the focus and contrast but birds often look fake (go find browndogwilson's pictures of birds on here somewhere).

And as for standing on whitewater without a board? easily done...

The only thing edited in the pic is the size, and a little color manipulation. I did not add anything to it. The guy "standing" in the white water was standing on an ankle biter. I took the shot just to get a pic of the kiter almost drowning a few Surfers. It just came out realy cool with the gull in it. Here is the frame prior to the Gull getting in the pic. You can see the Surfer standing on a dying wave, he just turned around by the next frame.

Heres the surf we had last weekend! Sorry the shot was taken on my mobile and doesn't capture the size of the swell. Waves at the back were double overhead though.

went out today (friday) waves were head high, there's some pics on
http://www.porthcawlsurf.co.uk/html/todays_surf.html
but they change every day and i'm unsure of how to upload pictures. anyway they were great shape, size and in nice sets. and i got to practice my duck diving (in, what seems to me, as big waves)

Knowing I was to be bombarded with texts today telling me what I was missing, I skipped work yesterday to find a wave

Witts (south coast UK) had a solid waisthigh wave at high tide.

Image

Then it dropped right off as the tide dropped, and idiot-boy here played with the fins to make the board superloose, but simply removed the last of the drive and speed

Met BrisbaneBound (shame we didnt meet up earlier)

Final session, getting dark, looking lumpy, new fin set up.... and then outta nowhere a new groundswell arrived taking it up to chesthigh :D

Surfed on my own (except for one longboarder who couldnt catch anything) and it even turned offshore for half hour. :D

Better than a day at work 8)
