I want to strangle my ex.

It's not murder! It's pest control.

I wouldn't mind so much, but I miss her! :( It's kind of depressing being single for valentines day when you miss someone.

The pisser is that Annette keeps asking me to take her back, and I was actually thinking about it until last week, when I heard yet ANOTHER story about stuff she's been getting up to.

She's single, and it's none of my business, but it still hurts.

And despite all that, she actually threatened to kill herself the other week if I didn't take her back. She took a cigarette to her own arm about a month ago in some sort of protest about not being with me.

She's not right in the head.

Well let us know if you get an animal heart in a box for your valentines from her

Good luck escaping that one, it looks like you have a case of fatal attraction.

I'm alone this Valentine, it's no biggie another money making scheme in my book, I'll be romantic when I want to be, not when I'm told!

given my mood I've just driven miles to the nearest tesco for a bottle of Mr Daniels finest and a pack of fags. So much for quitting.

Libby, thanks for the chat, it helps to talk. And if I tried sitting in a pub with my mates IRL moaning and being all emotional like this someone would probably tell me to shut the flesh up and stop being such a pansy! :D

She's either trying blackmail on you with the 'i'll kill myself' line or is a right bunny boiler.

Always best not to get involved (again).

Its OK i've accepted that he's going to be part of my life whether I like it or not. You can't feel that strongly for someone and then just switch it off, i'll never not care how he is.

But at the same time I am thinking of him less than I used to, after we broke up I actually couldnt see a way forward but now I can. I still have my moments, it got bad again a couple of weeks ago but then I saw loads of my friends, had a few really good nights out, a couple of nice surfs and met some nice guys so feeling much more optimistic now.

But i'm sure i'll still be wondering whats he's up to in a few years. If I end up doing my PhD in NZ i'd like to meet up with him adnd go for a surf....maybe drop in on him a few times, "accidently" run over him once or twice etc

Pah, thats just how it feels at the beginning. Couple of years added history and you'll be a different person trying to remember what his name was.

I found a box of photos the other day with pictures of various ex's who were important at the time (including one I lived with for years) and I was going 'oh yeah, that was fun. Cant think of a single thing we had in common, or why I got upset when we split up. Oh, and that one - what was her name again...?'

Life goes on. 8)
