Its getting colder here, and we probably will get snow sometime in the next couple of weeks. We always seem to get it towards the end of February/ beginning of March.

Im not fussed, as long as I can wake up one morning and find two feet of snow outside my door ill be happy  I still have the remains of a snowball from our last decent fall two years ago rotting away in my freezer. Shame its turned into a grubby white ice ball now

Snow!! :D :D :D Just phoned up work, and the boss said not to risk coming in. Yarr! Well, if you insist boss... Not technically snowed in just yet, but if it keeps it up at this rate.... :D But I just heard forecast, meant to turn into rain around lunchtime  Better make the most of my time, any swell around??

Well, its not the beginning of a new ice age like they were making out on the news last night, but there is definitely snow on the ground :D

And its still falling! And the kids are throwing snowballs at each other! (...it'll end in tears...)

I love slidey shoes, just slid the mile or so to work, yipee, but the walk home up the hills will be a killer.

I always used to hate it when younger when my mum used to buy sensible non slidey shoes.

Ooh, when I was about 8 years old, I went sledging in a really battered old pair of trainers that were completely smooth on the bottom - after ten minutes I gave up on the sledge and spent the day 'skiing' without skis :D

Happy days.... :D

well here in rural surrey we've got about 3 inches of snow. I wasn't quite sure how to scrape it off the car as it was deeper than the scraper. Drove to work at 5miles an hour the whole way. Haven't they heard of gritting the roads? I couldn't even see where the road was!

REALLY annoyed that work isn't closed. 60% of the staff called in to say they can't get here, and out of 2500 kids there's only about 250 at most    It's ridiculous expecting us to teach. I'm the only philosophy teacher who made it in, so I've got to take everyone elses classes all day. All the other local schools are closed.

I'm too honest to ring in and pretend I was stuck in the snow. I would have felt guilty. It was very tempting though

Got plenty of snow here if anybody wants some! :D Send it first class by royal mail although probably would be better for drinking by the time it gets to you!

Ya, you are now a grom. My parents were in Las Vegas once.....They got like 3mm of snow....Everyone stopped what they were doing to watch the 15 minutes of snow. I lived in BC at the time, and winter was like 5 months of the year...I was like what the hell is this?

hehe, well after being fed up selling sledges to kids who'd got the day off school yesterday, I closed the shop early (boss is away this week! :D ) and took one of the sledges for a test run for a couple of hours (well I had to make sure we're not selling shoddy stock didn't I?! ). Ended up scratching it to buggery and putting a great big ding in the bottom, so I now own it!!! :D

I LOVE SNOW!!!!!
