Decided to go on a bit of a mission today, went to fill up the effing exhaust blew. Got a quick repair kit, cool. Checked the oil dropped the cap in the engine compartment. Half an hour later after taking the grill of and pulling the radiator forward retrieved oil filler cap. Half an hour into the journey temp repair to the exhaust blew. Feck it i'm on my way now. How the highways agency didn't stop me whilst they were doing spot checks on emmissions i'll never know.

Anyway hooked up with James at gay bay, i'd already been in an hour and a quarter before he showed up so took these when i got out. Pretty sure they are of him. It had dropped slightly as the tide was pushing in but still a clean 3-4ft on the sets.

About to be closed out unless he made it round the section

Oh and an inaccesible reef that was just about firing. Would have been overhead on that.

Looked like a nice little clean sesh there Northswell.

Went to Sea Palling yesterday arvo and it was really nice 3ft on the sets and clean. A good way to begin my 'learn to surf again' due to too long out of the water. I feel like I'm back up to -1 now!

I just got back from Runton and it was average really. 2-3ft maybe bigger on the sets to start with but then it dropped slightly with the tide. Started off very clean then wind picked up side shore to chop it up a tad.
I seriously need to get fit and stay fit cos I was surfing like a complete kook today and it seemed like all I was doing was constantly paddling to maintain position and yet never on the peak!
Before yesterday it was a month since surfing, and then only I sesh and then probs another month before that!

Unfortuately thats what a lot of ECoast surfers refer to it as, a break that gets protection from th onshore winds that accompany some of our swells and allways 2-3ft smaller, ideal wave for protection from the winds but also the ideal learner spot in small surf. Lots of drop in kooks on a weekend can make this the worst place to surf in the UK

Perfect Phuket! A few feet overhead, 17sec period, 11-15mph offshore winds. 8)

Just came back after the tide got too high and it shorebroke.

Pretty much everywave a-framed and was hollow as heck! I got sooo many barrels!

surfed Puts yesterday and had a great time - best surf Ive managed.

Wind and waves picked up so we left - it seemed about head high when we were leaving. Had a look at woolacombe which looked massive with beautiful peeling waves - stood transfixed by the waves for a little while but couldnt see anyone out there.

Great Weekend!!

Just back from the E Coast. Sunday 5+ Clean, Tues two sessions again 5+ on the sets, and a couple of sessions today but smaller 2-3ft, but a solid clean easterly that meant for once it gay bay was the place to head. Not many out either cause it was midweek.
Sorry no pics this time, but i'm all surfed out. Bugger back to work tomorrow.

my last session was 2 weeks ago. Was about chest to head high, and chop city. Then towards the afternoon, the wind let up and it got pretty fun.
Early in the morning, still windblown (kiter being dumb, and let his kite drop on 3 Surfers  ) .......

After it cleaned up.....
