use your fingernails.....if you need to scrape wax, use a credit card or something. Bonus, after you do that, your wallet will smell of wax.....

Thats what I do as well, I like it better. I think really small v notches work the best so it doesnt get too flexy.

But I use like hotel room keys and stuff, I don't have too many old credit cards around.

Yeah I bet just about any surf shop would give you one. I don't know how much a pound is :oops: but I would not pay more than 50 cents for one.
