Don't you usually get them with credit cards, etc? Like the more you spend, the more miles you get?

Mastercard is associated with Airmiles, Visa is with Areoplan. Both do the same thing. I have MC, my dad has Visa. He said he gets more with Areoplan. Though that is on his buisness visa, and spends like 30k a month on it.

I got my MC with airmiles on it. In the mail I got a MC, and seperate Airmiles card. With the MC I get x airmiles per dollar spent. When I go to a place that takes airmiles, I crack out the air miles card and pay with my MC, so you double dip.

I only got it because I went with the program that has no fees, so you dont collect that much airmiles, but it is free. I figure eventually I will get a free flight or something. Maby long weekend down to florida or something.

Man, I should just become an airline pilot like my uncle. He goes all over the world on free flights to go skiing.....I wouldnt mind seeing its going off somewhere, and just jump on a plane and go.

.. Credit cards normally offer airmiles as far as i know ... lol .. please tell me your not here to offer us airmiles to buy summat  ?!

No idea about airmiles im afraid ,im not allowed on a plane after the " incident " ... wasnt my fault .. this lady asked me if i wanted to join the mile high club... " so i lit up a bong and got the pilot mashed! I still dont see where the problem was , the pilot got the hang of flying after we'd squished the invisible spiders he'd said were coming to eat his nostrils ... and anyways , he seemed to enjoy himself when they used the inflatable slide to get everyone off, and i really dont see that the stewards needed to stop him from going back up for another go .... so i still dont see where the problem was ... really

i have the star alliance mileage.
You get miles by flying from one place to another with the star alliance airlines (about 9 airlines i think)
You can also pay with a credit card from them and 1$= 1 mile.
A free ticket from the US to france (or england, for that cause) is around 50 to 60 thousand.
