HMM do i need to buy a rack?

Well i just bought a Jeep Cherokee, which is awesome by the way!But, it already has a rack on top, plastic(slides back and forth nothing major) so I'm wondering...do i need to buy a real rack or should it be ok just to use this one and maybe modify it some way....suggestions? thanks guys....and gals...

slap some pads on them (like 20 bucks) and then use some tie down straps (like 20 bucks)

Jeep Cherokee, or Grand Cherokee? I love the Cherokees, and I am still pissed that Jeep thought they were doing something good to "replace" the Cherokees with the Liberty
