why don't you call it kiteboarding, looks more like wakeboarding and nothing like surfing?

Some do. It's relatively new, and sorta like windsurfing/wind boarding/sailboarding, nobody's chosen an official name.

I usually hear kiteboarding, kitesurfing, and kiting. Whatever.

well, i'm definately going to try it, and i could probably use my wakeboard to cut down the cost, but not going to invest in the kite before i try it and know i will stick with it. i still have horrid memories of john kerry kiteboarding and remember how stupid he looked!
my windsurfing days are over and i am going to turn my sail into one of those ice boats to sail across the lake if it ever freezes over

i saw a video of guys doing stuff like that on snowboards. they stayed in the air even longer though.
