Alright, ya'll wanted to see some bodies, here they are!

A couple of these I don't think are great, but shows the sheer awesomeness of the guy on the flybox.

my brother was inspecting some of the mirrors in the camera, took off the lens, and held down the button on "B" setting, for like 5 seconds, so it bled to the next two shots, this is one. but it seems like half the pictures out there are like this to look "cool"

I was just making a comment about what others said about cropped body shots. If you're zoomed in on the board; you won't get the full body shot (unless you were at a specific/different angle I guess).

And that 3rd new shot with the grab is cool.
Any shots with the board flipping or spinning (mid-trick) would make for a cool pic.

Here's a new one. I took this on home rolled film, home processed, and home developed. (First time for each)

really? I'm not in photography this year, but my woodshop teacher teaches it, and sounds like all they do is pretty much learn how to develop, and then go shoot.

Sweet pic tomcat. Love the black and white. Thought you caught him at the perfect point on the lip. Cool.

Love the old-school Vans, too :D

Thanks. I might redevelop it today with a contrast filter.

I put a brown tone filter on in photoshop and it made it look pretty good. This guy's a really fun skater to take pictures of, he's always doing really original stuff.

Ya, black & white scares me, so many different filters for different looks and effects. A little daunting for an uneducated lazy dog like me.

Looks great! Keep it up, you'll be the skater Brown Dog Tomcat soon :D

That looks sweet. Old-fashioned, like those "sepia" colored pics that are a hundred years old.

its an intermediate college course. woodshop... are you in highschool?

we have to learn about all the different developers to use, different times, how to make the film and print dev. chemicals, right now we are testing out cameras by photographing a grey scale usung up about 5 rolls of film on this stupid thing, the developing 10 different strips of film adding 2 min each time to development, to see what time renders the best result when comparing thefilm to the gray scale.

So ya'll are actually making film and paper?

I think the grey scale thing would let you make your results in development a bit more accurate...but I didn't think anyone spent that much time on development anymore. Seemingly everyone is switching to digital.

(which means I can pick up a Canon A2e for under 100 bucks!!!)

i like the picture.
on the snowboarding pictures where you cant really see the guy sliding, you might want to try to follow the guy with the camera if he stays in one position to have the background like that and him still.
Im no pro whatsoever but to show you how it might turn out
Image
keep in mind this is taken with a camera phone at night, so the shutter speed got slowed down a bit.
nothing fancy really but i liked how it turned out!
