Early morning surfing lessons...

Postby SoCal WaterSpout » Sun Jan 14, 2007 9:21 pm

went awesome!!! It was the first time I ever tried surfing, and I finally stood up on the board twice toward the end of the two hour lesson. I think next week I will have it nailed. It was about 40 degrees, with the water temp about 58, but I never noticed the cold with my nice, toasty wetsuit.

What a nice way to spend a Sunday morning...

No, believe me, I don't have it licked by any means. But I did accomplish my goal for the day which was to stand up on the board. My for the next lesson or maybe the lesson following that one, is to be able to paddle and catch the wave, without the aid of the instructor.

Dang, am I sore today!

I don't think it's so much from surfing, as it is from carrying a 9 foot long board down the cliff (there were many, many stairs), onto the beach, and then half a mile down from there!
