EEEEEEEEK MY HAIR

what have I done? :cry:

i'm too embarrassed to even post a pic of it on here. i decided to change it a little in preparation for my date this weekend and it's gone TOTALLY WRONG :oops:

I'm off to the hairdressers tonight to see if he can fix it. The worst thing is turning up to work this morning... I was tempted to take the day off cuz it looks so bad. It's TOTALLY the wrong colour. I was trying to make it a shade darker to lessen the natural goldness but somehow it's now DARK RED. There was no red in the packet when I dyed it. I don't understand

I look like DEATH cuz my skin is really pale. I've dyed it ginger before (which I didn't really suit me either) but this is like some sort of GOTHIC red - AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I'm counting the hours till I can get out of work and race to the hairdresser before it shuts.

Dont worry, sure they will be able to reverse it, i can only think it was some grotty little person swapping the colours of hair dye into the wrong boxes at the shop (no of course i've never done that :oops:

)

Was it a permanent or temporary colour? Dont panic, the hair dressers will work their magic.

it's supposed to be temporary. i spent all day washing it on sunday but it's not faded one bit. i'm not allowed to wear a hat at work so i've had non stop comments all morning. the shame :oops:

I tried to bleach my hair white once, it went flurescent ginger.

ouch.

Unlike you though, if I cock up I can get away with shaving my head!

try an anti-dandruff shampoo, they strip dyed colour from hair. I had to use it when I accidently dyed my hair black and it worked - a bit

It's still not sorted

i went to the hairdresser and he said if i tried to get it back to how it was my hair would get really damaged. he managed to get rid of the awful redness but it's still really dark (for me) with a dark ginger tinge.

however, people this morning have commented on how it suits me

i don't think it does at all. i want my gold locks back! (i know i used to hate them and wished my hair wasn't gold, but now i've changed my mind... i'd do anything to get it looking like it was). I've got to wait a month and then dye it lighter again, but I bet it'll take AGES (and cost a fortune) to get back to normal.

I've learnt my lesson and once it's natural again I'm NEVER EVER changing it.

Sorry to hear about your hair girl, it sounds like it's worthwhile though because you've learned something from it - you like your natural hair colour - don't mess with it.

Hope it doesn't spoil your date. With any luck he's not so shallow as to only go for blondes.

On a completely seperate note, given that the chromosone for carrot flavoured hair is a reccessive phenotype, how many filial generations of gingas would we need to euthenise to remove it from the human race do you reckon?

The abuse you can give to gingers is immense, 1 of my sisters has ginger hair so whilst wrecked 1 night i called her 'the ginger vermin' which has kinda of stuck a little :lol:
