The back of them lifts up and down to prvide extra speed off the bottom turn so there is no stop start surfing, in their words.

I dont think you wont need to buy a bag that is several inches bigger for your 6'3. I think the 6'3 bag will be fine. They make the bags bigger anyway. My 6'3 board fits in my 6'3 bag nicely. The bag is really 6'6 id say.
However my bag is a Creatures bag and I cannot fit the board in the bag with the fins on because the fins and tailpad create too much bulk, therefore I have to take the fins off.

I have 2 of the Animal bags. One for my 7'3 minimal, and one for my 6'10 funboard. Both boards fit in the bag with the fins on fine - but both boards haven't got a tailpad and the bags are 2-3" bigger than the boards.
The 10mm Animal bags are well protected - really thick and chunky. Protects the board really well. The 5mm Animal bags are ok and you would have a better chance of putting your board in there with fins on.

I think the 6'3 Animal bag should be ok. If not then I dont see why you cant swap it for a 6'6 bag

It is a bit of a gamble. Since you have a tailpad too. hmm Maybe a 6'6 bag would be a better chance, an extra 3" isn't too bad.
The Animal bags are quite cheap at the moment and whats good about them is they have a big inside pocket to keep fins, wax, leash..etc

But I love my creatures one more :D
