Right then Peeps,

i have just been given my holiday dates for this year and im hoping to have a couple of weeks away surfing :):)

The dates i have got are first 2 weeks in June (when i want to go away)

Not really looked in to where is good to go any ideas ??

What sort of prices should i be looking at ??? im not saying i havent got a limit but if it will be fun i will whack out the credit card :D :D

i dont want a surfing holiday as such just a hotel near the beech ?? or is that a bad idea ??

I have been surfing about 7/8months and can stand pretty good now but not been on waves any higher than 4/5 ft

oh and i will be taking about 3 mates aswell that have been learning to surf over the last couple of months so hopefully will be less Crap in 5/6 months time :D :D :D

any help is much appreciated :):):)

bali is really nice.
if you want to stay 2 months with a plane ticket and 15-20 usd a day it will cost around 3000 usd, this includes everything, even a new board!
you can stay for cheap and pretty clean places down there.
i dont know the ticket price from the Uk though, from the Us its 1500$ round trip.
its really hot down there and bring some mosquito reppelent.

$20 a day is the MINIMUM you'll get away with for food and lodging per day. Not much left over for sight-seeing, souvenirs, or transport to surf away from Kuta (budget $15-20 a day for that alone). And if you want air-conditioning, you'll need to spend more like $30 just for your room... BUT Bali is still VERY CHEEEEEP !! And guaranteed perfect surf. New boards are for sale for around US$450-$600.

im from the us and bali was great. You can easily live for 20$ a day, trust me i know a local who already did it a bunch of times when he didnt live there
food is 1-2$ a meal, spend 10 in lodging and if you stay for long you can even rent a motorcycle!

Alright i"m originally from leeds and spent six weeks in and around bali surfing and then a couple of weeks travelling around indo .
I had a ball and its even cheaper than thailand and if your around the intermediate level there"s a massive selection of waves to try out .
I think you could prob get a flight for around 5 or 6 hundred if you shop around maybe try STA travel thats who I went with.
