Happy!!!

Postby libby » Sat Dec 30, 2006 7:59 am

I havent been able to surf this winter at all yet due to the fact that my winter suit doesnt fit anymore (too tight on shoulders since return from NZ - booo) and the fact that i had no hope of affording a new one

BUTTTTTT....

Out of the blue my uncle, who usually sends us 25 quid at xmas sent me and my brother 150 quid each, he even sent my brothers girlfriend 50 quid!

So now i have a sparkly new O'Neil wetsuit and gloves, and i have some new boots winging their merry way to me (cheers for the offer KS but i think they would have been a little big). Only slight problem is that i left my board down in Norwich - doh! Still, once the boots arrive i'll venture out with the body board just to remind myself how freezing the water is at this ridiculous latitude - I miss New Zealand!

Sorry rant over, im just happy and wanted to share my hapiness :D

Woo hoo!! Lucky girlie, hope you lurve it!

I've gotta get a winter wettie.

Not wanting to be cheeky Libs, but how did you get on finding a suit that fits us shortarses?? I tried on a Roxy one when I was buying my 3/2 and the arms were 6 inches over the end of my hands!

Trouble is, they also think people get thinner as they get shorter!! Chest measurements for the smallest size wetties are non-existent...mind you, I can't complain, I've managed to squeeze into an XL kids one! But don't think they do winter ones...will have to check...

Libs - maybe you have found the answer to the short arms problem!

Tell me about it, 6'5 with very little body fat (I need all the wetsuit I can get). I've managed to get an ace 3mm but nobody seems to make winter body-cosies for us normal sized people. It's most unfair.
