I feel your pain, I can't walk around to the other side of the blank in my shaping area!

It really sucks. I've made a vowel, no more boards until I've got a place to shape, better than what I'm doing now.

Chop it in two - maybe a 5' shortboard and a 4' fish. We all know how phil secretly loves little short boards

I'll give it a go... I'll try anything once... and if it hurts the first time, then you need to try again to make sure

Fortunately haven't had to resort to such drastic measures like chopping phils board in half etc, etc.
But the lack of space has been abit of an issue in shaping phils board. Haven't been able to get far enough away from it to eye it up properly and all my shaping is done by eye. Also getting the bottom right was easy in comparison to doing the deck. Getting the deck right has involved much faffing, but you can't beat a good old faff.

Anyhows as promised a few photos to wet your appetiite. The boards not yet finished but it's well on it's way. hopefully ready just in time for a new year's surf.
