Surfed Eloura, Cronulla this arvo... surf sucked and was full of bluebottles...

I was picking bluebottle stingers out of my wetsuit and hair for 10 min after I got out... grrrrrrr.

Hope the wind blows them out to sea tomorrow. :(

Two alright sessions up here dispite the wind.

One in a shelterd cove that was slow to get going but eventually turned into glassy 3ft shorie which was surfed until dark. Great fun :)

Sunday saw the big swell wrapping into rare breakers again. but soon after 10/11am the wind was geting way to stong. Not ideal but great to surf somwhere different :D

At Last! We've finally had some North in the winds... Got a slightly maxed out N.Wales wedge thismorning. Pushing well over 8ft on the peeks, kegs the size of a bus. Not as good as last May and lastyears october sesions but great to get back out there.
Once the tide drops back abit and the swell did the same it started to hold propperly giving solid 6-7ft rides. supepr steep super fast. Man I love that place :D:D:D:D

Getting out again tomorrow for the last dregs. and hopefully get some filming done too.

I was out at Witts today. Very nice!

Surf was small - knee to waist, chest on sets as the tide came in - but glassy clean early on. High tide was at lunchtime (and a spring tide at that) so I could only surf the morning (then a four hour wait over high tide, followed by about 30 mins before it got dark, so I didnt bother) so I started with a nice winter dawnie. Brrrrrrrrrrr....

One of the photos from early on when it was nice and clean but hadnt really picked up yet...

Time for a hot bath!

Classic Glassy wedge on the dreges of the swell today. In for over 4 hours and didn;t get cold. It was on form in its true playground style. 2-4ft hollow perfection. w00p Ramps, kegs and launches.

Wow Papa...nice wedge!

Well today I went to check out this reef I've never heard, or seen before. Forecasts were saying flat, but I still checked local swell magnets and it was dead flat.

Anyways..I was up for some snorkelling on this new reef and I turned up and saw this break firing! It was overhead easy and reeling and clean! Probably the weirdest thing I have ever seen!
I had to drive home and get the boards, drive back and surf!

The reef was ridiculously shallow and at low tide it started draining which wasn't cool!

Anyways....2 days untill Hawaii!

Also got some cam footage... couple of shots usable this time! HAd the best keg i've ever had on my first wave... soooooo deep a goot 1-2meters inside, wicked view. I love this break its soo hollow. Shallow too. cracked my shoulder/back after not landing a roll and getting flipped. looked good on cam tho!

i went up to sandsend today for a bit of a surf because id booked it off work for the northern meet.

anyway got up there early in the morning while the winds and the tides were still good. got a couple of good waves. then met up with northswell for a north east micro meet and a few more sneaky waves even though the wind swung round cross shore.

ill try and post a couple of pics if i can figure out how to get them off my phone.
