nonono dont get a fish, its not a beginners board its an advanced board tailored to certain type of waves and a certain style of surfing. I thought youd settled on getting a minimal anyway? :?

man im just asking. someone on my last post recommended a fish. and there are sites for board shapers that say fish are cool for beginners. just tryin to find something i can take on my ship. i mean 6'10'' is way easier to find a place for than 8'

Go and rent each one and make up your mind from there. We really can't give you more advise. Your skill set does not allow you to comprehend. With time you will understand but that will happen with time in the water. Some things you have to experience.

you wont need an 8', some in the mid 7s should do, what sort of ship you on anyway? i seen them navy ships and their huge, plenty of room. Just ditch some of those cannon things if your short of space.

well i gotta find room in my shop. i mean, i can put it under the deckplates but that would be risking breaking it, dont wanna do that. but you only get space for your clothes and whatever can fit under your bed and then room wherever you work

okokok. sooooo. i went to this shop in md and talked to this local shaper. i talked to him about what i was gonna surf and he said judging by my size he would make me a 6'0" or 6'1" fish to learn on. 20-22'' wide and 2 7/8 to 3'' thick. i wasnt sure at first and i asked him if i could take one out. taking one out tomorrow. will tell you how it goes. wish me luck.
