Is that helpful Delbsgaffer ?

A very misinformed comment there. progressive bodyboarding is just as difficult but then you cant really compare the two the only simularity is that you ride waves but thats it really.

It depends on which sport you think you can extract the most fun out of. "FUN" being he important word here. I enjoy both sports but i dont go out that much on a bodyboard anymore not unless the waves are too big for me on a surfboard which has yet to happen so far  im sure huge winter swells will humble that sentance

I have a friend who is a very good surfer but has more fun sponging so its all to do with personal taste.

Delbsgaffer - have you considered that pursuit whereby somebody throws the equivalent of a pub beer tray into the surf before running and jumping on it, sliding for a while and then falling off ?

I'm not sure exactly what it's called although I am sure that somebody will be able to advise.

Just a thought ?

Goosing

Isn't 'goosing' a sport as well? I've heard a lot people talking about it. Could someone advise? Maybe the DelbsGaffer could try some of that.
