diving wetsuits

Postby ^*^BATMAN^*^ » Fri Dec 01, 2006 3:23 pm

I dont currently have a wetsuit that is ment for surfing. Being in the great lakes in Canada, i definatly need a suit, especially today, it is freezing rain.

Anywho, my question. I DO have a 7mm two peice wetsuit. So it is a farmer john, and a top piece, so it makes 14mm in the chest. Whould this be good for surfing in? My only hesitation is the mobility issues.

Mobility is an issue, and they probably don't have seamless paddle zones, so you might get a rash, but it's better than nothing. You can try it out.

It might not have as good as a neck seal, which is nice when you're taking a duck dive. (get used to that ice cream headache!)

hood, booties, and gloves might already be needed up there

Tomcat is right on the mark. I would ware a rash guard underneath it and think about getting yourself a proper suite as soon as possible.
