Tofino is on Vancouver Island. ABout a 1 hour ferry ride from near Vancouver. Then it is about 2.5 hours, depending on weather and roads, to Tofino. The surfing there is good all year, incredible in the winter, and the water will literally kill you in 30 minutes it is so cold. Must wear 6mm suit, booties, gloves, hood, groin warmer, etc. I have met people who even wear swimming masks there when they surf.
Lots of info on surfing Tofino, just Google it.
