Eyup folks,

I just realised that I never introduced myself. I'm John, also known as Burton, John-Boy, Strongbow and err...that's it.

I'm from all over the place; born in Scotland but have lived in Kent, Hong Kong and Yorkshire. At the moment I live and surf in Newcastle.

You'll find me in the water in Tynemouth (almost) any day that there's surf since I work evenings. I'm the kook who always falls of his board while waiting for waves. You'll also notice me if you see a short fellow with a stupid grin after catching a nice wave. I'm not THAT bad considering that I've only surfed a shrtboard for about 10 sessions so far.

I'd love to meet some local surfers, none of my friends do it and I haven't made any surfer friends yet! So, yeah, as long as you don't mind I'll come along, thanks for the invite! I can't promise i'll make it though, I could only do the Sunday of the 17th; I would be hung, drawn and quarted if I pulled a sickie that Satruday night!

Anyway, I'll be sticking around on this forum now, adding to the humerous banter where I can.

Hi all. Just popped in and thought I'd say hi. I'm not a surfer myself but I run a clothing store in the north east of england (selling mainly von zipper sunglasses and goggles plus billabong clothing etc) and am just looking about to see what kind of things people are in to.

Hi essex sucks, mainly boscombe sometimes north devon (saunton area). Boscombe is going at the mo but strong on shore winds.
