Afternoon everyone...

Idiots the name - Texting 'Not Long Till 'Combe' is the game.

Last year I received over 1500 text messages starting from 9.32pm on the 12 November 2005 up to and including Good Friday. Which were based loosely on the theme of reminding me that it is 'not Long Till 'Combe' which is where we have been visiting for nearly ten years now each Easter. As I live in Bristol now, my 'friends' plague me incessantly for six months of the year with messages and texts. My Wife threw the house 'phone into the garden last year at approx 3am, some time in March, as my 'friends' worked out that texting a landline makes it sound like Tom Baker is talking to you. They even text their own land lines to ensure the diction and internation is correct. I asked them to be more creative in their messaging. This is a good opening gambit in their defence. They took the campaign abroad to cities around Europe last year. Hopefully this year they can go Global.

We are all in our Early 30's. Don't do an awful lot of surfing to be honest, in fact last year I didn't see the sea in three days in Woolacombe. But fair play to Delbsgaffer he has attacked the Pelaton very early in the race this year - can he sustain this creativity? only time will tell.

Ok - it's not about surfing directly - but we are promoting a key surfing venue on the N Devon coastline, which can only serve to boost the industry in the long term.

And we've all watched Point Break and really really enjoyed it......dude

d) and its given you something to talk about for the last few days

Just out of interest....when is the 50 year storm due? Or was it indeed at Bells Beach Australia a few years ago?
