I'm from the UK so the surfing isn't the best but I mainly surf on the internet anyway. I used to have a wooden surf board but I left it on a bus in Jersey and never saw it again. It's probably being used as a door or something now, it was rubbish.

I'm now living in Portsmouth (NB for anyone on the left-hand side of the big pond, that's the *original* one in England! :D ) although I'm originally from just outside Bristol (Long Ashton if anyone's heard of it!)

Hello Surfbratt here 25y/o. I am from the United States I live in the smalledst state RI the Ocean State. I have been sufing for 2 months.

It is realy cool how we are all from around the world. In Ri the surf is usually 1-4 feet in Narraganset but in hurricane season they are huge. No sure the exact ft maybe 10ft.

Peace out

Where U R?

Postby Stoker » Sat Aug 07, 2004 1:18 pm

I'm in the central U.S. and going surfing tomorrow. The car ride to southern California (where I grew up) will take 22 or 24 hours depending on how fast we drive.
Until finding this forum, I didn't realize there were so many surfers in the U.K. I'm still perplexed by it and wondering if there are just more surfers with internet savvy in the U.K. rather than just a lot of surfers.
What's the typical surf in U.K. spots? In Huntington Beach, CA, (my old surfing spot) its a 1-3 typical wave unless bigger stuff comes in from a far away place.

Hey! I'm from Devon in the UK.
Not far from Cornwall which probably has some of the best surf in the UK!
I'm still a learner though!
