That fact is crap, I was bittin my first day surfing by a baby reef shark, it sucks, but its not that bad, even if you do get bittin its not like its going to be a great white or anything.

:P well i think about it sometimes, like when i am out there and i see couple fins, then i realize it's a dolphine. i mean every sport u do there is danger in it, like soccer u get hit in the head or get kicked , shin splints. that's just part of the sport. but when u are out there u don't think about that, u think about how much fun u going to have surfing , or whatever.

Yup, they are definatley interesting!
They have remained unchanged for something like 400 million years or something crazy like that, definatley making them the perfect predator!

There have been some whites spotted here and a few tigers but this is kinda like the limit for both species. We have a hella lot of great hammerheads, especially now in summer, you are almost guaranteed to see one if you head to certain points on the island. Offshore we have some big makos which prey on our whales and dolphins, fine with me as long as they stay out there!

Well i surf in New Smyrna florida and after that attack fling we had a while back i think about it all the time. I don't let it get to me but I remember a person being pulled out of the water about every 2 or 3 hours a day because there foot had a big ole chunk taken out. I was lucky and didn't get bit but I have had my foot in a nurse sharks mouth before. I can say that wasn't fun at all.

If there are dolphins around then your safe. MOST sharks don't fleshin' with dolphins, since they travel in pacts when the see a shark the ram its side causing internal bleeding, then all the other sharks sense the blood and they eat that shark.

One day my buddies and I were surfing and a spinner shark jumped out of the water and smacked this kid right in the face with it's tail... knocked the kid right out. Someone pulled him out of the water. It was scary but funny as hell afterwards. lol
