Generally I prefer cooler temps purly becuase the health risks/hazzards associated with warm and hot waters are far far greater than that of cool waters.

ie warm = deadly jellies, urchines, etc..
cool = not much! maybe a wever fish at the worst!

Not to mention the propergation of waterborn bacteria that can survive in warmer saline waters.

yep if you are stoked anough you forget about the tempeture of the water and focus on the waves..all tho it wud be nice to get out the water because your skin has gone all wrinkly from the warm water as to getting out because you are cold stiff..lol

Here in Florida we have perfect summer temps. Low 90's air temp with the water around 83 F.

If we have a hard winter the water temps get in the mid 50's F.

If we're talking water temps, I prefer mid 70's - so upper teens and 20's.

Doesn't matter what the air is like if the water's nice.

Hey surferdude Scarborough
Early in the year cant remember exact dates had a few session in and around scarbs in the snow. Bloody freezing but less of a crowd at least. It has to be cold it does keep the crowds down.
