Are goofies probably lefties because im more dominant on my right side yet im goofy. This makes it hard to power with my left foot (back foot). I just wanted to know if it deals with dominant legs or what feels most natural to you.

im goofy and righty and i kick the ball with my right foot and im opposite footed on a bmx bike. (left foot forward and i spin the way right foot forward people spin, makes it harder for me or scarier)

im regular footed and cant kick a ball straight with my left but yet i can surf goofy no problem, go figure :lol:

I'm regular but surf better backhand, but I cant kick a ball with either foot :roll:

I can kick a ball with either foot, but it's been so long since I've been surfing I can't even remember if I'm goofy or regular! :shock:

To actually answer your question - it's whatever feels most natural to you. You want your pop up to be as smooth and natural and mindless as possible.

Oh, and that being said, the leash goes on the back foot.

For some reason, some kook insisted to me that he liked having his leash on his front foot when I tried to help him out.

I surf both, goofy riding lefts and regular riding rights. Saying that I do like to go backhand sometimes if its hollow.

when i started snow boarding i was told that regulars are righties, and goofies are lefties, but i was never comfortable riding regular so ever though i'm a righty i ride goofy. i find that in my friend it comes to a 50/50 split in goofy and regular but only a few of them are actualy lefties, so i don't think that there is any corelation between leftties/ righties and goofy/regualr.
