Stoked!

Postby Jimi » Thu Oct 26, 2006 10:02 am

Just got my 1st board this week... a 7'8 mini-mal, made by a local shaper. I'm a real beginner and went for my 1st surf the day I got it. Caught heaps of whitewash and stood up easily. Only problem was the onshore wind! can't wait till the wind in Sydney dies down so I can try catching the face of the waves.

I'll stop ranting now, just stoked.

If anyone knows good beginner breaks around cronulla/south sydney let me know. I don't want to get in the way of good surfers and upset the locals.

Cheers

edit: forgot to say I surfed at greenhills with my bro who's also new, and found all the beginner info on this site and forum really really helpful!

You've been going to the wrong spots then... there's been some classic offshores!
