yeah, ive never seen it happen either with a beginner, but it would make sense.

If im in a good mood and getting lots of waves I'll often call people into waves and pull off if it for someone who ive noticed isnt getting any waves for whatever reason (intermediates not confident enough in the lineup, groms, etc.) but beginners are bound to be less vocal in the lineup.
