Upgrading from Funshape to Longboard

Postby thawkwood » Wed Oct 18, 2006 12:23 am

Hey,

In a (long) while I'm considering adding a longboard to my future quiver. I surf a 7'2" funshape once or twice a week. I already have a warm fuzzy for the classic single fin longboard configuration, I'm just wondering what size to get. The guys at the shop say at least nine feet...

My vital statistics I'm 5'7" and 152 lbs, if that factors in the way it seems to with shortboards.

Regards,

Hawkwood

The guys at ther shop are right on target. If I was you I would be looking for anything from a 9 to a 9'6".

Hawkwood your located in Jax right? If you are check Sunrise Surf Shop.

http://www.sunrisesurfshop.com/surf.html

They will treat you right, and they carry a lot of local shaped longboards.

Or take a drive south to St. Augustine and check out The Surf Station. Thats where I bought all my boards. They have an unbelievable selection, and can have boards custom made for you.
