WANTED: old knackered board

Kind of an odd request but any help would be appreciated!

im not a surfer, nor do i have any intention of learning since i live at possibly the furthest point from any sort of coastline. but i do have a beach buggy that i would like to attatch a surfboard to. i know im a total poser but i love the whole surf culture and my car looks naked without a board or 2 on the roof.

i dont need it to be usable, it just needs to be in one piece and no sign of it falling apart any time soon. ill consider anything really. battered boards are actually preferably since it will suit the buggy more. also if you have a pair ill consider taking both as long as they have the same design etc

just let me know what old boards you guys have lying around and how much you want for them (plus any shipping charges to oxfordshire) and ill consider them! although im not looking to spend a huge amount to be honest so please try to be reasonable!

the buggy in question in case anyones wondering:

bit of plywood, saw, plane, paint. Make your own. If your not going to surf on it then that should do.

er thanks...

like i said before, i live at possibly the furthest point from any coastline in the UK. if i lived near the coast i would probably learn to surf. but since i dont, id like to bring a part of the coast to me in the form of a surf buggy.

dont think ill bother now though. i might do it with a surfboard style skateboard since i actually skateboard from time to time.

it's a shame you don't try...i think if you'd love surfing that much, you'd do what it takes to get to the coast and surf it? you do have car/buggy... i think i've read a bunch of other folks on this forum who'd take hours by bus and train just to surf...

as i do the same. i don't have a car, but i'd be wiling to take my board with me on the bus, no matter what i look like or what other people may think.

Hey, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? Take it as a compliment guys! I used to get really worked up about posers, people wearing surf tee's when they've never set foot in the sea... then I realised, hell, life's too short to get worked up about something like that. As far as I'm concerned, pose away, I hope it works out for you. I think I've got the better end of the bargain though... 8)

Twunt! Lifes far to short pretending your something when its a lot more fun being somebody!

Goafer boy: take off your boardees , fliplops, remove your 'surf look' hair gel and step away from your makebelieve surfer lifestyle.

P.s rash vests arnt t-shirts (only chicks look hot in them) !

Thanks dude, you've not met me yet have you?!

Or are you into the 'bright-red-in-face, bogey-streaming-from-nose, blood-shot-eyes-like-junkie, hair-like-madwoman-on-run-from-asylum' look?

(Think that works fairly well as an anti- 'surfer-look' post as well!)
