Nice one mate-exactly what I needed to hearwootzy wrote:I'm leaving for morocco again in November to spend the winter there. If you are learning to surf and want to hire a board a place called Immessourne (prounounced IM-SWARN) is perfect. It has a fantastic harbour point with a really long mellow wave. On the bay in immessourne (cathedral point) it is a bit more advanced but in comparison to alot of other spots in Morocco it's really easy going.
My friend (Naja) has a small surf shop and he'll rent you a board for 100 Dhyrams a day (around £6.50). If you are looking to buy a board over there i have a mini-mal there that i need to sell.
As far as accomadation is concerned in Immessourne you'll pay about 90DH per night (around £5.90) to stay in the hotel.
To get to Immessourne can seem like a bit of a mission but it's really simple. It's located between essouria and agadir. You either get the agadir bus from essouria or get the essouria bus from Agadir but make sure you tell the driver you want to stop at la pointe immesourne. When the bus stops and drops you off it will look like you are in the middle of nowhere. If there isn't a taxi already there you wait at the point for a driver to come (usually there are other people waiting there too) and he will take you to the village. Do not pay any more than 10 Dhyrams for the taxi. They tend to ask for more but just let him know that you know the correct price. If you have alot of luggage, boards etc give him an extra 5 Dhyrams.
You have to visit this place. Forget taragzout, rabat, agadir etc because they're all crap in comparison. Immessourne is defineatly the place to go. The people are all friendly, the surf is great, the place is beautiful. You'd love it. My name is Luke, so if you go there ask for me and i'll show you around.
