Where to move to in the UK?

Postby SurfNoise » Tue Jul 27, 2004 3:33 pm

Hi folks,

I'm looking to move by the coast so I can surf more because only being able to surf a few times a year is killing me :(

Where would you recommend? Obviously looking for a place on the coast where there is great surf but also a town with nice people and good job opportunities.

All I can think of is Newquay but there are too many idiots who flock there in the summer and ruin the place, so I was hoping there might be somewhere similar that isn't so but also not completely dead in winter.

Ok I think I'll shut up now and wait for any suggestions! :)

Newcastle's the place to be.... :D

Loads of job opportunities, plenty of good surf spots, great nightlife, friendly bunch of geordies, good town centre with everything you need, plus more.... :)

No house, just looking to rent.

Work-wise anything really. I'm not really bothered as long as I got to surf more.

saffasurfer7, never though about the east coast, might take a look into it.
