I hear teahupoo is good for begineers!!!! Nice easy take off, nice and slow and very soft deep sandy bottom!!!

10 days surfing and already off to tahiti, nice but take care with your choice of breaks.
P.S. Don't surf teahupoo!

there are mainly only tough reefbreaks to surf in tahiti but search around on websited like global surfers and you might find a mellow wave somewhere

Sorry i was taking the micky, couldn't help myself i'm just envious that your going to tahiti.
Definatley do not attempt to surf teahupoo. It's an extremely dangerous shallow reef break for very good surfers only. Sorry i can't be of help i've never been to tahiti.
Have fun
